5 reasons you should get your carpets professionally cleaned

If it’s time to freshen up those carpets, here are some great reasons to get it done professionally – other than just the nice clean look and smell!

  1. Best choice in cleaning products: Our professional carpet cleaners use high quality cleaning products, including carpet detergents to help remove stubborn sediment, that won’t cause any damage to your carpet.
  2. Carpet sanitation: We clean with really hot water (100 degrees celsius!). This provides better sanitation of the carpet and removes cleaning products more efficiently.
  3. Stain removal: We can remove stains using specially formulated spot cleaners that won’t damage the carpet.
  4. Appearance and feel: A professional carpet cleaner uses products that will leave your carpet feeling softer and cleaner for longer.
  5. A longer carpet life: We recommend having your carpets cleaned at least every 12 months to keep them fresh and prolong the carpet life. Some people who have kids and pets at home may need their carpet cleaned more frequently.

Expert tip: Regular vacuum cleaning will also help your carpet stay cleaner for longer, as it will also help to remove loose dust and sediment before it becomes ingrained in the fibre.

Client Testimonial Carpet Clean Clontarf

One client who contacted us thought her carpets were in such a bad state they’d need to be replaced. However, after we’d finished, she was so happy with how her carpets had scrubbed up that she’s vowed to get them cleaned more frequently.

Here’s what she had to say about her experience:

“We just had All Corners Carpet Cleaning out to do the dining, lounge and hallway carpets, they were in a horrible state from the kids. They have done a fantastic job and were very professional and courteous. I highly recommend and will continue to use this company in the future. Thank you All Corners Carpet Cleaning!”

Best Way to Clean Dog Urine in Carpet

Best Way to Clean Dog Urine in Carpet

If your furry best mate has had a little wee accident on the floor and it’s up to you to deal with the mess, you’ll need to know the best way to clean dog urine in carpet.

After you have finished grumbling and groaning, it’s time to get straight on to cleaning up the mess.

All Corners Carpet Cleaning & Pest Control have some handy tips on how to get rid of dog urine out of carpet and remove the unwanted and unpleasant smell that may follow.

Best Way to Clean Dog Urine in Carpet

If the four-legged family member has used the carpet as a toilet and hastily retreated, now is your chance to jump in and clean it up before it becomes a permanent stain.

  1. Mix ¼ cup of white vinegar and 1 cup of water.
  2. Apply to the affected area.
  3. Blot dry with a towel.

Make sure you don’t hesitate to get onto it straight away – you don’t want the liquid to soak through to the underlay.

If you don’t have any vinegar available quickly, use water only and start soaking up the liquid as soon as possible.  The key with urine is getting to it while it is still wet. Once it dries, yellow staining can occur which may be permanent, especially in wool.

For further stain removal tips, visit the All Corners Carpet Cleaning & Pest Control page here or give us a call on 0439 722 914.

How to Get Rid of the Smell

If the urine gets into the underlay, the smell may remain even after a stain removal process. All Corners offer odour elimination processes to remove the urine smell without having a complete underlay replacement. We recommend cleaning the entire room as well as the stained area so the carpet dries evenly and isn’t left with a mix of clean and dirty spots throughout.

If in doubt, give All Corners a call for advice over the phone and to book in for professional removal as soon as possible.

After your puppy or dog is toilet trained and there are less accidents on the carpet, we recommend a complete professional carpet clean. Our methods ensure that the carpets will be at the best standard for cleanliness and hygiene and will feel and look like new once again.

How to get rid of wine spills out of carpet

How to get rid of Wine Spills out of Carpet

Just imagine you’re relaxing with the perfect drop after a tough day when the unthinkable happens, a quick bump and your wine is spilt all over your beautiful carpet.

Once the heart stopping moment passes, you need to spring into action and remove the spill.

All Corners Carpet Cleaning & Pest Control have some handy tips on how to get rid of wine spills out of carpet.

Immediate actions to take

The most important thing is to get to the stain as quick as possible as you have more of a chance of removing it before any colour sets.

Red wine needs to be diluted with water and soaked up with a towel immediately. Try not to rub the carpet as this may destroy the fibres – use the blotting method instead.

If all of the red colouring cannot be removed, we recommend leaving a damp towel over the area until a professional can get there and extract. The damp towel can help prevent the stain from setting.

What not to do

Do not leave the stain and think it will be able to be professionally removed.

Carpet fibres react differently to discolouration so the stain may remove easily in a certain fibre and be permanent in another.

If in doubt, give All Corners Carpet Cleaning & Pest Control a call for advice over the phone and to book in for professional removal as soon as possible.

Booking a professional clean

When it comes to powerful stains like that of wine, we highly recommend a professional clean as soon as possible.

To maintain and maximise the life of your carpet, it should be cleaned at least every 12 months with a thorough wet clean anyway, so it’s the perfect time to get it done for the year.

How to keep your carpets clean year round

How to keep Carpets Clean Year Round

The only way to keep your carpet truly clean is to make sure everyone stays off or away from it but in reality that’s not going to happen!

At All Corners Carpet Cleaning & Pest Control we can offer you the best advice on how to keep carpets clean year-round.

Find out more about keeping carpets in tip top shape by reading our blog below. If you’re looking for further in-depth information and advice, feel free to give us a call on 0439 722 914.

Spot cleaning tips

It’s a typical weeknight and the kids have tipped their spaghetti all over the carpet. Don’t stress, most spills if dealt with straight away, can usually be removed.

  • When spills first occur, dilute any colour with water and soaking up with towels is best.
  • Pet accidents should be cleaned as best as possible. Using bicarb soda over the top can help to absorb smells and a professional clean and sanitation is highly recommended afterwards.
  • Try not to rub carpet as this may destroy the fibre.
  • Any type of spill can leave a residue in the carpet, same as when cleaning spills with carpet spot stain removers bought over the counter.
  • If the residue is left in the carpet, sun bleaching of this area can be sped up over time and bleaching can occur. Professional cleaning and removal of any residue is highly recommended.

For any spills or stains that have a colour to them, it’s best to get in touch with us for advice on what to do. These stains are quite hard to remove when dry and left to set in the fibre. For advice on cleaning red wine spills, look at our blog with specific tips.

Best time of year to get your carpets professionally cleaned

Best Time of Year to get your Carpets Professionally Cleaned

Having your carpet cleaned is often a task which gets overlooked however, they hold all the germs from everyday life including dust, hair, mud and stains. Cleaning is essential but do you know the best time of year to get your carpets professionally cleaned?

While there is definitive answer, the team at All Corners Carpet Cleaning & Pest Control highly recommend cleaning your carpets at least once every 12 months.

To find out more about the benefits of a professionally cleaned carpet, continue reading below or for further advice get in touch with the All Corners team on 0439 722 914.

Best months for carpet cleaning

Thanks to our mild climate in Queensland all year round, there’s no strict rule when it comes to the best time for cleaning carpets. To keep your carpets in the best condition, our recommendation is a clean every 12 months.

Regular cleaning will make it easier to remove stains and will also keep your carpet feeling fresher for longer.

The Australian Standard recommends cleaning carpet at least every 12 months. This helps to prevent sediment build up in the fibre; helps set carpet pile to its original position and helps prolong the life of the carpet fibre.

We also put in a carpet neutralising agent similar to fabric softener to help the feel of  the carpet, set the fibre back to PH neutral which helps soften the carpet and to keep the fibre cleaner for longer, as it removes the static in the carpet holding sediment.

How long does it take for the carpet to dry?

In Queensland the drying times aren’t too bad all year round and we can still have the carpet cleaned and dry all in one day.

In warmer months we find that the average dry time is around 2-3 hours with about 6-8 hours in winter.

Benefits to getting a clean in winter

In winter it’s a good idea to schedule a clean early in the morning so it will dry that day. Air flow such as fans and open windows also helps to dry the carpet quicker.

Cleaning carpets in winter can remove germs and allergens from sediment build up, helping to prevent illness and allergies.
